We give an explicit description of the action of Galois automorphisms on the set of ordinary irreducible characters of a finite reductive group provided that the derived subgroup of the underlying algebraic group is a product of quasi-simple groups of type A. This extends the studies in [11] regarding the action of Galois automorphisms on Lusztig series of SLn(q) and SUn(q).
