| | This year the Freydoon Mansouri fellowship in string theory has been awarded to Hamed Farhadpour, PhD student of School of Mathematics of IPM, working under the supervision of Professor Yousef Bahrampour of Shahid Bahonar University, and Professor Simon K. Donaldson of Imperial College.
In the previous years the following have received the award:
1) Mahdi Torabian, 2005, Student of Sharif University of Technology working under the supervision of Professor M.M. Sheikh Jabbari of School of Physics of IPM.
2) Alireza Tavanfar, 2007, student of School of Physics of IPM working under the supervision of Professor Shahrokh Parvizi of Sharif University of Technology.
3) Navid Abbasi, 2011, student of Sharif University of Technology working under the supervision of Professor Hessamaddin Arfaei of Sharif University of Technology.
4) Amin Faraji Astaneh, 2012, student of Sharif University of Technology working under the supervision of Professor Amir Esmaeil Mosaffa of School of Particles and Accelerators of IPM .
The awards committee consists of Farhad Ardalan, Hessamaddin Arfaei & Reza Mansouri. Professors of IPM and Sharif University of Technology. The fellowship was established in honor of late Freydoon Mansouri in collaboration with his family, to encourage work in string theory in Iran.
