Alexander Anatolievich Ivanov will be visiting School of Mathematics of IPM during Apr. 24-May 9, 2005. During his visit, Prof. Ivanov will conduct a short course in "Sporadic Groups, Amalgams and Representations" at IPM.
Professor Ivanov completed his Ph.D. in 1985 at Moscow Physical-Technical Institute and his research interests are: Sporadic groups and their geometries, Distance-regular and distance-transitive graphs, Monstrous moonshine, and Monster.
