Abstract: After a brief review of the problem and the efforts made on tackling with the exact solution of the 3D Ising model, I will try to show a representation which seems to be an appropriate starting point to analytically describe (at least) the critical behavior of the model in 3 and 4 dimensions in terms of a 2D CFT.
