Abstract: After a short review on quartic quasi-topological gravity and its motivations we will study its field equations and linearized graviton equations around AdS background. Moreover, we will precisely analyze the possibility of existence AdS planar black hole solutions. In additions, by considering the effect of quartic term on causality of dual field theory we will study its constraints on the viscosity/entropy ratio.
