On Sunday, June 19, 2000, the first Ph.D. degree of IPM in Mathematical Logic was granted to M. Aghaei Frooshani. He successfully defended his thesis entitled "Gentzen-Style Axiomatizations for Basic Logic". His supervisor was Prof. M. Ardeshir of IPM and Sharif University of Technology.
