10:00 - 12:00 IPM SCS Free Webinars Cognitive and Computational Modeling of Brain Activities School COGNITIVE SCIENCES IPM SCS Free Webinars Abstract: The purpose of this presentation is to provide a cognitive and computational framework for brain activity. First, the model is defined and then the various modeling methods are discussed. There are various methods for modeling, such as mental, verbal, physical, conceptual, inspired, and computational, which are briefly described. What is a good model and what specifications should it include? Finally, the process of modeling biological phenomena is briefly described. ... 14:00 - 15:00 Weekly Seminar HEPCo Group The black-to-white hole transition scenario School PHYSICS Abstract: At the end of Hawking evaporation, the horizon of a black hole enters a physical region where quantum gravity cannot be neglected. A recently proposed tentative scenario to describe the end of the life of a black hole is the geometric transition of the black hole in a white hole. The black-to-white hole scenario offers a quite natural resolution of the black hole information puzzle with the white hole acting as a long-lived remnant. In the first part of the talk I will introduce the black-to-white hole transition. Then I will show that the covariant formulation of loop quantum gravity, whose basics will be briefly outlined, i ... |
