A double sine-Gordon system is introduced which exhibits remarkable properties. A spectrum of massive single-soliton solutions exist, some of which are unstable and decay into low mass stable solitons. Although exact multi-soliton solutions are not found yet, important fundamental properties can be deduced using general principles including conservations of energy and topological charges.
