We use the Quantum Group SUq(2) to obtain a nonlinear
expression for the transition energies in Superdeformed (SD) bands
in nuclei. This gives good description of the SD bands. Since this
nonlinear expression holds for high spins also we are able to
obtain acceptable values of spins for SD bands in A ∼ 150
region too.
