Presentation of "Young Mathematicians Prize"
The "Foundation for Research in Mathematics " established the "Young Mathematicians Prize" in 2001. The purpose of the award is to acknowledge research by young mathematicians in Iran and encourage the development of mathematics. The monetary award is 10,000,000 Rls for each recipient.
The recipients of the awards in 2005 are (in alphabetic order):
1. Alireza Abdollahi, University of Isfahan
2. Saieed Akbari, Sharif University of Technology
3. Javad Asadollahi,Shahre-Kord University
The Foundation for Research in Mathematics is funded through donations by individuals. The awards committee of 2005 consisted of Rahim Zaare-Nahandi (University of Tehran), Mohammad-Taghi Dibaei
(IPM & Tarbiat Moallem University ), Hamid Reza Maimani
(IPM & Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University), and Mohammad Reza Pournaki (IPM & Sharif University of Technology).
In this ceremony, on behalf of Professor G.B. Khosrovshahi, a Senior Fellow of IPM, Changiz Maysoori will be awarded a special prize for his industrious efforts in Mathematics. His monetary award is 10,000,000 Rls.
