Abstract: I will discuss the renormalization of O(N) invariant models of N scalar fields in which the symmetry is realized non-linearly. After a short motivation I will explain the notion of functional renormalization group and the way it is applied in this context. Three fixed point solutions of the flow equations with the topology of flat space, cylinder and sphere are discussed afterwards.
