14:00 - 15:00 Combinatorics and Computing Weekly Seminar Tverberg's Theorem with Constraints School MATHEMATICS This is a report on a joint project with Mr. Abolfazl Najafian. We will study the connectivity of a simplicial complex associated to all partial vertex colorings of a graph. More specifically given a graph G and an integer n we define a simplicial complex E_n(G) whose vertices are V(G)x{1,2,...,n} and whose faces are all partial colorings of vertices using the colors {1,...,n}. Then we see under what conditions this graph is n-2 connected. The relation between this problem and the chromatic number of stable and semi-stable Kneser hyper-graphs and also the Tverberg's problem with constraints will be explained. We will discuss how monadic NIP manifests in the theory T itself rather than just in unary expansions, and how this can be used to produce structure or non-structure in hereditary classes. Analogous results concerning monadic stability will also be discussed.
