15:00 - 16:00 Theory weekly seminar (TWS) A Review of Some Observed Anomalies in Particle Physics School PARTICLES AND ACCELERATORS Abstract: The Standard Model of particle physics stands as a remarkable triumph of scientific inquiry, providing a comprehensive framework for understanding the fundamental constituents of matter and their interactions. Despite its remarkable success in explaining a vast array of experimental observations, the SM is not without its limitations. Recent experimental results at the Large Hadron Collider have unveiled anomalies that deviate from the predictions of the SM. These anomalies, while not yet conclusive, serve as tantalizing hints of physics beyond the SM, opening up new frontiers for exploration. In this talk, we will de ... |
