Wealth distribution function, physical and economic models

School
BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES

The distribution of wealth and its dynamics have interested physicists and economists. The distribution exhibits scaling properties. For a long period of time, such a distribution has been power-law. Evidence shows that even back in ancient history, such a power-law property had persisted. A number of agent-based models which result in such a universal property have been proposed by physicists and economists. In this talk, we review the proposed models. We also analyze the related data for Iran.

Spectrum of gauge theory on lattice in strong and weak coupling limit

PARTICLES AND ACCELERATORS

Abstract:
The transfer-matrix of the U(1) lattice gauge theory is investigated in the field Fourier space, the basis of which consists of the quantized currents on lattice links. In the strong coupling limit, a series expansion is developed for the elements of the transfer matrix, to which a diagrammatic representation based on the occurrence of virtual link and loop currents can be associated. Either by interpretation or through their role in fixing the relevant terms, the diagrams are reminiscent of the Feynman ones of the perturbative small coupling expansions. The issues of Gauss law constraint and gauge invariant states are addres ...
