11:00 - 12:00 Theory weekly seminar (TWS) What is physics, and why is it successful? School PARTICLES AND ACCELERATORS Abstract: As physicists, we often don't think about how our questions transform into useful solutions. We consider the answers to these questions to be trivial because we believe it's a natural part of our profession. However, a physicist who wants to think beyond their professional duties and take action is forced to contemplate the foundations of their behavioral and computational or experimental technology. In this lecture, I explore these foundational aspects and discuss the historical transformation that led to physics separating from philosophy and making progress, while philosophy didn't progress as much. ... 15:00 - 17:00 Journal Club - Cognitive Neuroscience A somato-cognitive action network alternates with effector regions in motor cortex School COGNITIVE SCIENCES Based on: https://doi.org/10.1038/s41586-023-05964-2 Meeting Place: Seminar Room, School of Cognitive Sciences, IPM |
