11:00 - 12:00 Journal Club: Experiment & Phenomenology – meeting Recent results on FCNC from CMS and ATLAS School PARTICLES AND ACCELERATORS Abstract: The standard model of particle physics is our best description yet of fundamental particles and their interactions, but it is known to be incomplete, as yet undiscovered particles and interactions might exist. One of the most powerful ways to search for new particles is by studying processes known as flavor-changing neutral current (FCNC) decays, where a quark changes its flavor without altering its electric charge. In this talk, we will review the recent result on FCNC search based on proton–proton collision data taken at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with the CMS and ATLAS detector at the LHC. Based on |
