11:00 - 12:00 Weekly Webinar Relatively high frequency of co-infection with two SARS-CoV-2 strains and infection with recombinant strains observed among Iranians: implications for emergence of new strains School BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES The results of four related studies pertaining to the genome of SARS-CoV-2 will be presented. Initially, all available good quality sequences (2790) available at the end of March 2020 at the GISAID database were grouped on the basis of sequence variations into 13 nominal major haplogroups (H1-H13). Highly reliable TAG identifying variations were defined for these, and their distributions among various countries and world regions were reported. Subsequently, all available sequences (74922) of viruses sequences retrieved from individuals infected in June 1 to November 15 of 2020 were analyze, and the findings of this period were compared to the ... |
