Abstract
Based on our current understanding of the Universe, the initial seed of all observed structures like stars, galaxies, and clusters, are produced by the inflationary mechanism. In this talk, considering the roles of massive fields other than inflaton-like entropy field in multiple field inflationary scenarios and dark photon, we claim that it is also possible to produc ...

Selberg's Central Limit Theorem

School
MATHEMATICS

Selberg's central limit theorem is an influential probabilistic result in analytic number theory which roughly states that the logarithm of the Riemann zeta-function $zeta(s)$ on the half-line, that is $Re s = frac12$, has an approximate two-dimensional Gaussian distribution as $Im s o infty$. We will carefully review the important ideas in the proof of Selberg's theorem and then will mention some variants of it. Towards the end of the talk, we will also see some of its applications.

Quantum Non-locality in Networks

School
MATHEMATICS

Bell non-locality and its experimental realizations are celebrated results in quantum physics. Non-locality asserts that certain correlations in nature cannot be explained classically, i.e., by the local hidden variable model. In Bell's setting we study correlations between two or more distant parties who share a single source in common. Recently, by the development of quantum communication networks, the more general setup of non-locality in networks is also studied. In this setup, the parties have several sources in common that are shared through a network, so we expect richer non-locality in networks comparing to the standard Bell's setup. ...
