14:00 - 15:00 Weekly Seminar HEPCo Group Constraining Initial Conditions of the Universe with Galaxy Surveys School PHYSICS Abstract: Wide-area galaxy surveys, such as the Rubin Observatory and Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI), along with high-resolution Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) experiments, such as the Simons Observatory and CMB-S4, will provide a massive amount of data to constrain the initial conditions of the Universe. However, systematic effects caused by Galactic foregrounds pose a multifaceted challenge as galaxy surveys aim at probing sparser and fainter galaxies out to higher redshifts. Standard treatment methods are limited by their assumptions of linearity and improving them is a crucial step for the full exploitation of g ... |
