13:30 - 15:00 Weekly Seminar Beyond Uber-Cosmology and Cosmological Tensions School ASTRONOMY 1- I will give a very quick review on both temporal and spatial tensions in cosmology based on LCDM model. In my classification H0 and fsigma_8 tensions are temporal while CMB anomalies are categorized as spatial tensions. 2-- I will review the idea of uber-gravity and will build a cosmological based on this named uLCDM. I will show how this model can lessen H0 tension and has specific predictions for the structure formation. 3-- At the end I will go beyond a specific model and will talk about our recent idea to solve both temporal and spatial tensions simultaneously ... 14:00 - 15:00 Weekly Seminar Protein adsorption at nano-bio interface for different diseases School NANO SCIENCES Protein adsorption at nano-bio interface for different diseases One of the most promising strategies for fighting cancer is the drug delivery process using synthetic nanoparticles. Once in biological milieu, the nanoparticle surfaces get covered with a layer of biomolecules called the “Protein Corona”. The protein corona formation changes the nanoparticles interaction with the human body dictating a new fate for them. The protein corona composition is not only dependent on the nanoparticle itself, but also it is affected by the health condition of patients as recently discovered through the experimental studies. ... 14:00 - 15:00 Combinatorics and Computing Weekly Seminar Bootstrap percolation in random graphs School MATHEMATICS School of Mathematics, Niavaran Bldg., Niavaran Square, Tehran, Ira? 14:00 - 15:00 Weekly Seminar Condensed Matter and Statistical Physics Group Protein adsorption at nano-bio interface for different diseases School PHYSICS Seminar Room (classroom A), Farmanieh Building, IPM ... 15:00 - 16:00 Weekly Seminar Probing new scalar and vector-like top partner at future high energy lepton colliders School PARTICLES AND ACCELERATORS The existence of vector-like quarks is often predicted by many models of new physics beyond the Standard Model (SM) which supply a useful tool to probe and search of physics beyond the SM. In this talk, we will discuss the constraints on a simplified model containing a vector like quark (VLQ) and a new neutral scalar mixing respectively with top quark and Higgs boson of the SM. The presence of VLQ associated with a singlet scalar is also well motivated as they help stabilize the electroweak vacuum of the Higgs potential. We will discuss that the scalar-photon associated production process at future electron-positron colliders could be one of ... 16:00 - 18:00 Neuroimaging Journal Club Plasticity in gray and white: neuroimaging changes in brain structure during learning School COGNITIVE SCIENCES Venue: School of Cognitive Sciences, Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (IPM), Opposite the ARAJ, Artesh Highway, Tehran, Iran ... 16:00 - 17:00 Colloquium Dynamics of magnetonic droplet School NANO SCIENCES Dynamics of magnetonic droplet Abstract: Consider a thin magnetic layer with a vertical non-homogenous in which spins all aligned vertically on the screen. In the presence of an electromagnetic pulse or at high density, many of those spins can be switched to the opposite direction. Due to exchange of information between the spins, they are severely affected. Hence, in order to maintain the new spin structure, the initial applied energy must still remain in the system. A droplet-like structure can be formed in the area where a number of spins are next to each other which called magnetoinc droplet. In this t ... |
