We use multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis (MF-DFA), to study the electrical discharge current fluctuations in the plasma. The MF-DFA analysis, shows that there are two crossover timescales in the fluctuation function in terms of time scales. We discuss how the existence of the crossover timescales are related to a sinusoidal trends. Using Fourier detrended fluctuation analysis, the sinusoidal trend is eliminated and via remaining fluctuations, we find that these fluctuations have multifractal nature with almost long range correlation behavior. Comparing the MF-DFA results for the data without sinusoidal trend and other non-stationarities to those for shuffled and surrogate series, we conclude that its multifractal nature is almost entirely due to the long range correlations. Our results show that degree of multifractality and also the kind of correlations are mostly independent to the electrical current intensity of discharge fluctuations in the electrical discharge.
