Abstract: | |||||
In this letter, we present the solution which describe coupled
stationary, one dimensional propagation of a nonlinear electron
wave and a nonlinear ion wave including the effect of trapped
electrons. It is shown that in the scales much larger than the
debye length, trapped electrons cause soliton to be supersonic and
therefore the condition for the Langmuir soliton to radiate a
resonant wave with phase velocity equal to soliton velocity is not
fulfilled [1].
