|
It is a well-known fact that Mach's principle is not satisfied by the
general theory
of relativity. This principle is studied in the framework of the Bohmian
quantum
cosmology. It is shown that Mach's principle is satisfied in the sense
that a
local perturbation in the matter field distribution leads to a global
change
in the space-time metric.
