  Abstract:
We have investigated the liquid-gas phase transition in asymmetrical nuclear matter, using the lowest order constrained variational (LOCV) method. In our calculations, the AV18 and AV14 potentials are employed. Some of the critical properties of asymmetrical nuclear matter such as the critical temperature and density and the critical exponents are calculated for different values of proton to neutron ratio. The dependence of the critical quantities on the proton to neutron ratio is shown.
