  Abstract:
According to a common view (Hossein Ziai 1990; Mehdi Aminrazavi 1997; 2003, Roxanne Marcotte 2012, for example) Suhrawardi's philosophy is committed to innate ideas as a priori concepts. In this note, I will be trying to argue that this picture of Illuminationism is misleading.
