In a ceremonial gathering, on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, two new appointments were announced by Director Larijani, at IPM: Hamid Sarbazi-Azad as the head of School of Computer Science and Hossein Estaki as the head of School of Intelligent Systems (Cognitive Sciences). Also Director Larijani thanked the services done by Shahin Rouhani, the outgoing head of School of Intelligent Systems, who was in this position for four years.

Hamid Sarbazi-Azad, a PhD in Computing Science, presently is an assistant professor at Department of Computer Engineering in Sharif University of Technology. Hossein Estaki, a PhD in Neuroscience, presently is a faculty member of Medical Department of Shahid Beheshti University. Previously, Hossein Estaki was the associate-head of School of Intelligent Systems.
