Abstract

This is a working seminar in which we present various aspects and open problems related to Dirichlet to Neumann operators (DNOs). DNOs are defined as the operators which give values of the normal derivative of solutions to Dirichlet problems in terms of the boundary values of the solution itself. Such operators have many uses in applications as well as in theory. The situation presented will be that of domains in which a flat boundary is perturbed, and examine a corresponding expansion of the DNO in terms of the perturbation constant. We shall also discuss difficulties in the numerical computation of the DNO.
