| 14:00 - 15:00 Weekly Seminar HEPCo Group Superconformal indices and the AdS/CFT correspondence School PHYSICS Abstract: Superconformal indices are examples of exact partition functions that count - with appropriate Boltzmann weights -supersymmetric states in superconformal field theories (SCFTs). We will discuss their role in bridging field theory and gravity in the AdS/CFT correspondence. In particular, we will discuss large-N transitions in superconformal indices of 4d SCFTs, between confined, partially-deconfined, and fully-deconfined phases.
