13:30 - 15:00 Weekly Seminar Probing Virtual ALPs: from Table-top Experiments to the Entire Cosmos School ASTRONOMY Axion Like Particles (ALPs) are generalizations of the QCD axions which arise from string theory due to the compactification of extra dimensions. Both the QCD axions and ALPs are prominent candidates for Dark Matter (DM). Extensive efforts have been conducted to search for axions in recent years whether from astrophysical observations or ground based experiments. I am going to talk about our proposed table-top experiment ( 8 cm cavity ) for detecting ALPs. We have studied the impact of virtual ALPs on the polarization of the photons inside a cavity. Our scheme can potentially impact significantly on the discovery of ALPs as it cover ... 14:00 - 16:00 Seminar Black hole, Quantum information and Holography School COGNITIVE SCIENCES Venue: School of Cognitive Sciences, Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (IPM), Opposite the ARAJ, Artesh Highway, Tehran, Iran on map * To join the mailing list: Send an empty email to: scs at ipm dot ir on the subject of: #join ... 14:00 - 15:00 Weekly Seminar Condensed Matter and Statistical Physics Group Plastic electronics and its traps School PHYSICS Organized by: School of Nano Science Venue : Seminar Roo m (classroom A), Farmanieh Building, IPM 14:00 - 15:00 Weekly Seminar Combinatorics and Computing Positivstellensatz and quantum information theory School MATHEMATICS Positivstellensatz and quantum information theory ... 14:00 - 15:00 Weekly Seminar Plastic electronics and its traps School NANO SCIENCES Plastic electronics and its traps Abstract: Beside the big advantages of molecular electronic, presence of trapping states in these materials is considered as one of the big dilemmas in the field. Because these trap states that lie in forbidden band gap that is detriment for current flow, and they waste power. Electron trapping is a well-recognized issue in organic semiconductors, in particular in conjugated polymers, leading to a significant electron mobility reduction in materials with electron affinities smaller than 4 eV. Many researchers are trying to figure out that what is the origin of these ... 15:00 - 16:00 Weekly Seminar Beautiful mathematics for beauty-full and other multi-heavy hadronic systems School PARTICLES AND ACCELERATORS Abstract: In most non-perturbative methods in hadron physics, the calculations are started with a correlation function in terms of some interpolating and transition currents in x-space. For simplicity, the calculations are then transformed to the momentum space by a Fourier transformation. To suppress the contributions of the higher states and continuum; and enhance the ground state contribution, Borel transformation as well as continuum subtraction are applied by the help of quark-hadron duality assumption. In the present study, we work out the mathematics required for these processes in the case of light and multi-heavy hadrons. We address ... 15:30 - 17:30 Mathtematical Logic Weekly Seminar ${sf MM}^{++}$ implies ($star$) School MATHEMATICS We show that Martin's Maximum${}^{++}$ implies Woodin's ${mathbb P}_{ m max}$ axiom ($star$).
