| 11:00 - 12:00 Journal Club: Experiment & Phenomenology Quark / Gluon jet Tagging at the LHC School PARTICLES AND ACCELERATORS Based on: https://cds.cern.ch/record/2234117 and some other papers. Abstract: Distinguishing the light-quark jets from gluon jets on an event-by-event basis could significantly enhance the reach for many standard model measurements and many new physics searches at the Large Hadron Collider. Since long ago many discrimination studies have been performed using the different kinematical characters of the jets. In this talk, we will review the latest development on realizing the quark/ gluon initiated jets in the CMS collaboration.
