| 11:00 - 12:00 Journal Club: Experiment & Phenomenology CoLa, LoLa, DeepTopLoLa and Other Machine Learning Methods for Top Tagging School PARTICLES AND ACCELERATORS Based on: 1902.09914[hep-ph], 1707.08966[hep-ph]. Abstract: " Distinguishing top quark jets from light-quarks and gluon jets is an important task at the LHC. In many new physics model, boosted top quarks will be produced at the LHC. The decay products of a boosted top quark are collimated which makes them challenging to be tagged as a top quark. There are many algorithms for top tagging. In recent years, machine learning techniques as an alternative are proposed for top tagging.
