Two-dimensional metalloporphyrin monolayers with intriguing electronic and spintronic properties

Recently, intensive efforts have been focused on the search of novel two-dimensional (2D) materials for memory and spintronic applications. In the present work, we provide a practical avenue for achieving the long-cherished nanomaterial via novel 2D periodic metalloporphyrin frameworks (referred to as M-Pp0 and M-Pp45, M = Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn) with regularly and separately distributed transition-metals (TMs) by means of first-principles calculations combined with Monte Carlo simulations. The electronic and magnetic prop ...

ASTRONOMY

In classical General Relativity (GR), an observer falling into an astrophysical black hole is not expected to experience anything dramatic as she crosses the event horizon. However, tentative resolutions to problems in quantum gravity, such as the cosmological constant problem, or the black hole information paradox, invoke significant departures from classicality in the vicinity of the horizon. It was recently pointed out that such near-horizon structures can lead to late-time echoes in the black hole merger gravitational wave signals that are otherwise indistinguishable from GR. We search for observational signatures of these echoes in the g ...

On the Butterfly Effect in 3D Gravity

PARTICLES AND ACCELERATORS

We study the butterfly effect by considering shock wave solutions near the horizon of the AdS black brane in some of 3-dimensional Gravity models including; 3D Einstein Gravity, Minimal Massive 3D Gravity, New Massive Gravity, Generalized Massive Gravity, Born-Infeld 3D Gravity and New Bi-Gravity. We calculate the butterfly velocities of these models and also we consider the critical points and different limits in some of these models. By studying the butterfly effect in the Generalized Massive Gravity, we observe a correspondence between the butterfly velocities and right-left moving degrees of freedom or the central charges of the dual 2D C ...
