The " Freydoon Mansouri's fellowship 2012 " in string has been awarded to Navid Abbasi

The " Freydoon Mansouri's fellowship 2012 " in string has been awarded to Navid Abbasi a PhD student of physics department of Sharif University of Technology under the supervision of Professor Hessamaddin Arfaei.
The first Freydoon Mansouri's fellowship was awarded to Mahdi Torabian in September 2005. Torabian who worked under the supervision of IPM Professor M.M. Sheikh Jabbari received his PhD in summer of this year and is going to ICTP in Trieste Italy for a post doctoral position. The second fellowship was awarded to Alireza Tavanfar a PhD student of school of physics in September 2007. Tavanfar who worked under the supervision of Professor Shahrokh Parvizi of physics department of Sharif University of Technology received a post doctoral position at CERN and then at Harvard University and he is at CERN at present.
The awards committee consists of Farhad Ardalan, Hessamaddin Arfaei & Reza Mansouri. The fellowship was established in honor of late Freydoon Mansouri's by his family to encourage work in string theory in Iran.
